Wrong aspect ratio on iPhone 6 Plus

I played this game years ago on the PC and loved it, and was excited to revisit it on iOS, but a word of warning to iPhone 6 Plus owners. The aspect ratio seems automatically stretched out to fit the longer screen, and things look unnaturally and distractingly stretched as a result. Hopefully the developer will release an update that corrects this.
