Pros and cons of The Longest Journey Remastered app for iPhone and iPad

The Longest Journey Remastered app good for

LUV LUV LUV❤️❤️❤️ Best gamę ever❤️❤️ TLJ DREAMFALL DF CHAPTERS❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you enjoy traditional point and click adventure games and have not had the chance to play The Longest Journey yet, I highly recommend this version. This is the full game with original soundtrack and dialog that has been adapted for the touch screen interface. Contrary to some previous reviews, I did not encounter any bugs. It is, however, sometimes tricky to click on some of the smaller elements (e.g. Crow), particularly when trying to drag an inventory item to use it on something small on screen. I imagine this would be less of an issue on tablets, or the iPhone 6 Plus. Note, if you want to hunt for interactive spots you can keep your finger on the screen and drag it back and forth (similar to the PC version where you would swipe your mouse back and forth on the screen to search around). More modern adventure games tend to have a way to highlight interactive points, but this one does not. As mentioned in my title, this is strictly a conversion of the original game to a new platform. There are plenty of reviews of the original game online, so read a few of those for info on the game play. Expect to spend a long time to complete it, even if you do use a walkthrough to get past some of the more obtuse puzzles. I believe it is worth it for the story and fantastical worlds you get to explore (and even discounting the nostalgia factor, it is the best of the three in the series).
To those of you who got stuck at the temple scene. You need to place your finger on the screen and slide right to left at the point when you display the 3 questions: who are you, where am I, where is cortez. 2 more options will appear on your screen: nod and listen. Keep choosing listen and youll proceed with the game!
Thanks for port! Im a first time player of TLJ and am so thankful that these amazing games Ive never gotten a chance to play are now being released through the App Store! I love the amount of thought and detail that the developers have put into every aspect of this game (great characters, storyline, voice acting, music, graphics, and value) I urge more people to go back to this level of game making. Stop releasing mindless copycat crap that is filling up the pages of the App Store and instead put some TLC into game making and release something you can be proud of! I am all about playing games that are completely immersive and transport you into the games world you can go explore and challenge yourself in the process. I like using my brain! This is one of the best point and click adventures I have played to this date! I am so happy I finally decided to purchase this game and I recommend this to anyone who has never experienced it before. At the price of $5 it is well worth the value and then some. This is above the quality of about 98% of games sold in the App Store so you really cant lose if you buy this. Enjoy!!!!
I loved the story plot, the game play, all of it. Big fan of point & click games and the Longest Journey was time well spent!
It is amazing to be able to play TLJ on the iPad! It is very intuitive! The graphics are even better compared to the PC version on a modern computer! Nice work! It would be great if the game was compatible with multitask!

Some bad moments

Something in an iOS update broke the game, now theres no audio. 2 years later, the app hasnt been updated and the bug persists. Not impressed, buyer beware.
Got stuck in the temple, there was no way out. Reloaded the game and got stuck again while talking with Westhouse. Fix the bugs or give me my money back.
Here are the pros and cons of the game according to me... Pros -a point and click adventure--yay! -the story is interesting -puzzles were decent Places to improve -the user interface is not intuitive, there should be a user guide. I got stuck on dialogue boxes several times before scouring the Internet and other reviews to determine that you had to swipe right to left to see the next series of text options. Also read online that you can double click to run and hold your finger down as you explore the screen for options. Also it would be helpful if screen exits were clickable by an arrow--that was annoying when you thought she was exiting just to stop somewhere nearby. -I guess I shouldve known by the game title but the game is really unnecessarily longer than it needed to be. So much dialogue and reading! I am less of a story person when it comes to games, and more of a puzzle solver. The story was interesting, but the Dialogue was disproportionately longer than game play. -you have to wait FORever for April to travel from screen to screen, even when shes running...why??? And sometimes there are screens she has to travel through for no reason -I am not a fan of foul language in a game--would definitely not play this with sound around my kids. The bad language limits the playable audience--and sounds forced. -some of the puzzles were random (like tying stuff to an inflatable duck)--but hey--they were puzzles!
Ive come to enjoy point and click games on the iPad. This one was apparently made for computers (and mouse) originally and is a bad port - horrible controls that were not adequately updated for modern touchpad. The graphics are poor (unmodern) and add to the ambiguity of where to go and what to tap on. Puzzles are nonsensical and obtuse, even with an online walk through I am scratching my head in annoyance. I am in chapter 2. I wanted to like this game, but I quit. Waste of money.
So.. I nearly swooned with happiness when I saw this game. It was one of my favorites oh so many years ago... But I am having bug issues like many others. Until now I found if I just closed the screen on the game and reopened, I could fix the problems, but the priest bug isnt solvable. I speak to him, and then my iPad freezes into place. I remember from before I am supposed to listen to him until I understand, but there is no "listen" option that came up for me. So, I guess I stop here.. Right as I was really becoming engrossed. Sigh.
Just purchased this game on my iPhone 6 plus. The soundtrack is missing, no dialogue/music during gameplay. Please fix
